A very good copy.

First edition. 33pp [+7 ads, bound in at rear]. Two additional unnumbered leaves (full page illustrated maps) bound in between pages 2-3 and 22-23. Octavo [23 cm];Saddle-stapled in original tan toned wraps with red printed titles and illustrations. Complete. Fair-only condition with some damp staining, and some mildew spotting, damage, and losses along the top edge. The front wrap and title page have been trimmed down by one inch along the top edge. Staples (binding) are rusted. Otherwise internally clean and complete. Rare 1888 guide for Boise and Southwestern Idaho produced by the Boise City Board of Trade, "Representing the Commercial Interests of Southwestern Idaho". The map spreads and engravings show nice details. Illustrated with 4 black and white engravings of important buildings in the city; the Public School (p. 5), the U.S. Assay Office (p. 8), the Territorial Capitol (p. 15), and the Court House (p.25). The poem "Boise, the Beautiful" by W.E. Pabor is printed on the verso of the title page. Only six institutional copies located in our searches (2/13/23).
