Black paper covers with glossy green lettering and intricate design on both the front and rear covers are clean and sharp. Pages are all bright lime green. First page has portrait of Charles Baudelaire. On the backside, Whitten has signed and inscribed the book in black pen: "For ------ / Je te donne es vers --- / because you have helped / me so much on my writing / (The two novels I had under contract this year, alas, fell / through -- ten years of work) / May you have no "sad / madrigals" in your life, / only happy waltzes -- as / I'm still trying to do. / Best to you and yours / Hunter." (Leslie Hunter Whitten). Binding is tight. Pages are all clean and crisp. 66 pages. Some illustrations. Whitten was an American investigative reporter, and had a reputation for his horror fiction - Stephen King has listed Whitten's Progeny of the Adder on the list of essential horror novels that appears in his book Danse Macabre. This is copy of only 350 produced. Signed by the Author.

Nearly unnoticable trace of rubbing at the head of the spine and at the very tips of the two lower, outside corners. Signed, inscribed and dated on the inside of the front cover by author/translator Whitten: "For ------ / About / Rebels; from one rebel / to another. The poems / are dark but wise -- / if they dismay, there / is a little sunshine / on page 28. You have / certainly brought a lot / of sunshine into a / lot of lives / Love / Leslie Hunter (Whitten) / 10/12/06." Binding is tight. Pages are all clean and crisp. 48 pages.
