This is his story of the early life and marriage of William Lamb, later Lord Melbourne (1779-1848), Prime Minister to the young Queen Victoria and husband of the notorious Lady Caroline Lamb, lover of Byron.

These were drawn by various artists, the most famous of whom was Leslie Ward who used the 'nom de crayon' of "Spy". This portrait will come mounted/matted and ready to frame using archivist quality materials, mount size 18 x 12 inches, 47 x 31 cms. It will be presented in a cellophane wrapper with our label guaranteeing authenticity. We pack very well, between sheets of hardboard. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a portrait of Lord Edward Cecil, DSO, with the caption ''at Mafeking''. Accompanied by a one page biographical sheet. Lord Edward Herbert (Gascoyne-)Cecil KCMG DSO (12 July 1867-13 December 1918) was a British soldier and colonial administrator in Egypt. His father was Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury, the Prime Minister.
