Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Light water staining to text-block edges. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Notable water staining to surfaces. Scuffing and light marking overall. Mild tanning to spine and edges. Book is bowed and forward leaning.

A subsequent inscription from the recipient of Barjansky's inscription notes that the book was later gifted to a third party who has added her own neat bookplate alongside a brief inked note concerning the gift. 8vo. vii, 223pp. Russet-coloured cloth lettered in gold at the spine and upper board. Frontispiece. A touch of very light wear to the backstrip ends, and just a hint of spotting to the top edge. A very good copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, somewhat chipped with half a dozen areas of edge-loss, and some tenderness and chipping to several natural folds. The name 'Frederick Delius' in the blurb on the rear flap has been underlined in ink. Laid-in is a folding six-panel flyer issued to accompany Barjansky's 1952 exhibition 'Miniature Sculpture in Wax' at the Newton Gallery, New York. The memoirs of Catherine Barjansky (1890-1965), a Ukrainian-born artist and sculptor, noted for her models in wax. Inscribed by Author(s).
