Quarter Red Cloth. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. 91pp. 1938. First edition. A very good, tight copy. 4 colour plates by Peter Fraser as called for. A charming children's book written by the great Vice-admiral Gordon Campbell V.C. (my godmother's uncle and so I can verify that this book is one of his rarest titles!). All the stories in the book including the name of the dog are true - Nelson served with his master on board H.M.S. Cumberland. Original publisher's quarter red cloth over paper-covered boards with printed blue title and vignette of 'Nelson' to the front board. Light dust soiling and shelf wear to the boards. Some light rubbing to the board corners. An ink gift inscription to the front endpaper. A little rubbing to the corners (with slight loss of paper). Several scattered soil marks. A very good, tight, clean copy.
