It demonstrates the breadth of his writing and his ability to write in a considered and thought-provoking way on a wide range of subjects. Biography, history, literature, religion and politics are all dealt with. 422pp Terracotta cloth, gold lettering. The top edge is dark red. But for a slight crease in the cloth at one corner the book is in excellent condition throughout.
