Original o primera edición
Hardcover. Condición: Fair. Estado de la sobrecubierta: No Dust Jacket. First American Edition. Quarter bound, with a brown leather spine and paper boards. Extremities rubbed, marked. LACKS the folding frontispiece and any further plates. As far as I can ascertain the second plate was only added to the second edition, but at this age it could be a case of the publishers added plates if they had any on hand? . Browning to paper internally throughout due to age and the type of paper used. Some spotting. No Inscriptions, but a few tears/closed tears, due to the friable paper, but No loss. Lacks the rear free endpaper, o/w complete. Apparently this is "almost certainly spurious account of the 'shipwreck and sufferings' of Mrs Eliza Bradley, supposedly autobiographical, but borrowed in large part from Captain James Riley's 1816 account of his capture and exploits on the 'coast of Barbary'. ". Whatever the source, this is an ORIGINAL and early fascinating account, and a 1st Edition 1820. See Images. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall.
