"A study in Jealousy", she is reported to have said. 1938 to bottom of full title page. Has the amazing opening line.'Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again.' Description of book: A beautiful facsimile dustjacket accompanies this book. Created from a first impression [Gollancz] from 1938, it retains a beautifully vibrant colour and has the price of 8/6 net to spine. Now housed in a plastic sleeve for future protection. - Black cloth, reinked. Gilt lettering to the front and spine. Frayed cloth to the edges, mainly top and bottom of the spine. Crease down the middle of the spine. The spine is not in a great condition but it is present. Overall; a clean condition. All housed beneath the accompanying dustjacket. - Story has 446 pages. Browning and foxing throughout. The last blank endpage is missing and the small strip left has been adhered to the rear board.
