Soft cover. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. Uncredited photo by Roger Hicks Ilustrador. 1st Edition. Not a book but a 12-inch vinyl "single" (one lengthy song to each side), PYE Records 7NL 46189, mint vinyl in a near-mint cardboard jacket which is European and thus a bit flimsy. Enclosed quarter-folded newspaper clipping from The Sun (May 22, 1979) is headlined "The Love Birds / Page Three's Jilly and Nina find two new fellas." The "Blonde on Blonde" duo was formed in 1978 by former "Page 3" girls Nina Carter and Jilly Johnson. They had some success, particularly in Japan, but canned the act in the 1980s. (Turning 30 will do that to a girl, sometimes.) Their most successful single was this cover version of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love." They appeared in a cameo role in the 1979 British film "The Golden Lady," also appearing on the soundtrack album. The uncredited color jacket photo of the damsels displaying many of their charms, here, is almost certainly by Roger Hicks, who featured the pair in a similar pose in his 1982 book "Techniques of Pin-Up Photography." But these Vixens of Vinyl made it on their VOICES, see. Honest. Reduced from $20.
