Paperback. Condición: Good +. Paperback. 11" X 8 1/2". 256pp. Mild rubbing and toning to covers, corners, and edges of paper wraps. Pages are clean and unmarked. Binding is sound. An overall clean, solid copy of this collection of columns from the Bowdon Bulletin in Bowdon Georgia between 1946 and 1951 by Mrs. H.M. Bird. These weekly columns, often occupying the same spot in each edition of the paper, provide written accounts of the major events occuring in this west central Georgia town. Including obituaries, taown projects, church happenings and civic undertakings, Mrs. Bird's columns recall a slower paced time when local news was "the news".(From the Preface).
