Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -In the last decade many efforts have been devoted into developing Virtual Fitting Rooms (VFR) due to the great popularity of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) in the fashion design industry. The existence of new technologies such as Kinect, powerful web cameras and smartphones let us examine new ways to try on clothes without actually doing that physically. This research is mainly dedicated to review important aspects of VFR. Hence, web browser based and AR based VFR projects are described in terms of their main characteristics, techniques and algorithms. A comparison table and a classification of existing approaches, investigated in academia, are presented to categorise the studies on VFR in a comprehensive way. Likewise, several technological variants of VFR are described according to the analysed attributes in order to explore what has been done in the market. Finally, two research activities were conducted: online and experimental evaluation. The first one explores the user acceptance towards online and in-store VFR through a survey and the second one tests the user satisfaction and the user experience regarding two different VFR prototypes. 88 pp. Englisch.
