White lettering on the spine is still clear and easy to read. Ex-library book from the San Francisco Public Library has been cleaned up so there are very few markings. There is a small triangle of paper on the free rear endpaper where a checkout sheet once was. Two facial tears on the rear endpaper. Frontis portrait of Hamid. Small "SF Public Library" small dot cut name on the lower edge of the title page. Binding is tight. Pages are clean, white, and crisp. 296 pages. Illustrated throughout with some photographs.
