Patterned Bds & White Cloth. Condición: Good+. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Good+ (Clear plastic). Limited Edition (775 copies). 44 pages; "A tract on true love, with a digression upon an invention of the devil (from the title page)." This edition is limited to 775 copies, numbered and signed by the Author (#402, signed on the page before the pretitle page). Book condition: Clear plastic Dj has been secured in the past with scotch tape along the vertical inner flap edge. This tape has left narrow brown foxing stains along these edges (and to a lesser extent opposite on the flys), and four places on the top and bottom (centered) of the outer cover edges (circa 1.5 x 0.5 inches in extent). Also, the page surface throughout has darkened to a light tan color. Otherwise, book is in rather good condition, better than an average book. Signed by Author(s).

Hardcover. Second impression. 298 pgs., 8vo. A early-20th century appraisal of the author, in plain black cloth, no d,j. present. Slightly toned paper, and bookplate of past owner, an author and American anglophile. She added a nice Wutherimg Heights bookmark, which comes to the purchaser gratis with the book. The paper is mildly age-toned, and a few pages show edge-spotting from some 'inherent vice', as we tend to call poor paper-making from abroad. Good used condition, no dust wrapper.
