Vellum. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. The Book of Common Prayer is dated 1796 though the the identity of the publisher is a little unclear. The title page states "London: Printed for the Booksellers 1796" The Whole Books of Psalms is bound in behind the other 2 volumes. The full title reads "The Whole Book of Psalms, collected into English Metre, by Thomas Sternhold and John Hopkins, and others; Conferred with the Hebrew. Manchester, Printed by R. and W. Dean, 9 Spring Garden and Sold by G. Sael, Strand, London, MDCCXCIX (1799) The New Week's Preparation for the Lord's Supper is undated, bound in in-between the Book of Common Prayer and the Whole Book of Psalms. Published in Manchester by Bancks, Printer, Exchange Street. Size Octavo 8½" x 5¼". The Condition is Very Good, near Fine. Bound in its original Vellum. The vellum has no cracks or splits, the binding in tight and intact. The Front and back covers have an embossed double border and a diamond shape in the centre, most of the gilt work is still present. The spine is divided into 6 sections by five bands, not raised but of a fancy gilt work pattern. "Common Prayer" is stamped in gilt on a blue background in the second section. Fancy gilt border work to the bottom of the spine. The pages are edged in gilt, still bright and the end papers are marbled. Inside there are no loose or missing pages and no spotting which is incredibly rare for a work of this age. If you would like any more photos, just ask. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
