Black cloth binding with yellow cloth printed spine, all corners badly rubbed and spine slightly soiled, boards clean. f/piece+ 246 + (8 adverts), numerous figs. numbered by chapter on 136 plates inc.in pagination, 16 tipped in col. figs to 1st chapter but have not located any more. 9 chapters on various topics related oriental art including ceramics, Indian miniatures and 'A Glass Globe of Arghun', preceded by short obituary of Edward Hamilton Bell (1857-1929), further details on request. 1 cm square red ideogram bottom corner half-title with small faint penciled number. Internally near fine, no tanning and all gutters good.Text-block edges a tad dusty and fore-edge uncut. Scarce in UK. 23.5 cm x 30.5 cm.
