Light shelf wear to covers, light bruising to tips and spine ends. Binding is firm. Jacket shows wear, aging, soiling, rubbing, with considerable chipping/loss to edges. Vintage newspaper clipping with photo of Frost affixed to front pastedown; vintage bookplate affixed to front endpaper; offsetting to front endpapers; otherwise interior is evenly toned, free of markings, with limited light soiling in margins. Laid in is a 1920s news clipping with a review of the book. Note: bookplate has a racist, offensive message.

Very handsome pencil-signed b&w frontis etching of a group of four sea birds (terns) by Henry Emerson Tuttle, as well as a stunning one of a barn owl, a landscape with lightning, another landscape entitled The Hem of Dawn, second even more arresting depiction of terns entitled: "Terns cease your wild, wild cry" ; and a final etching reproduction of a forest scene called "A hidden forest lay as still. We wakeoned it with our laughing" // Tuttle is considered one of the finest American bird illustrators. Scarce. Stated limitation of 100 copies of which this is number 90. || Signed by author. || Poems organized by the season. // American poetry; 20th century. Extremely gently rubbed corners, gentle soiling and shelf-wear to boards; mild damping to front board and leaves intermittently throughout, rendering a very mild, visible damp stain to approximately ten pages, includsing outer margin of a few of the plates (not affecting images though). Overall, very good with slight red discoloration to bottom outer corner of front board, perhasp from original dust jacket? (Not sure if issued with one. Binding tight.

Images consist mainly of birds, especially sporting subjects. Contains a 16-page full catalog raisonne listing 177 entries, all with thumb-nail images; limited to 100 numbered (#63) copies; plain paper-covered slipcase. This copy is in VG condition with some light sunning to spine label; mild staining along pastedown gutters from binder's glue o/w internally quite clean and bright. The slipcase is in good condition with mild edge rubbing and overall wear. Most uncommon in the limited edition.
