Hardcover. Condición: Poor. 80 p complete though both endpapers wanting. Otherwise all original with many fine engraved plates. The book is just about disbound however with some browning, loose pages and rough edges. . Original gilt decorative boards and backstrip detached on one side. Study or possible rebinding copy. Brown e/ps. b/w frontis, illustration plates, b/w decorated page borders. The Poetical Accompaniment by the Rev. H. A. Martin. Text in rhyme, story emblellishment of the Big Bad Wolf and the Pigs. Condition: obviously a book which has been read and cherished. Spine cloth tears top and bottom. Wear on corners boards showing. Wear on edges, cloth thinning. Small holes on spine seam. Age and handling marks front and back. Binding blocks of pages are stapled. Staples have rusted and blocks of pages adrift from central binding. Pages are age discoloured, but text and illustrations clear. Last page torn across the middle. It is however, still all there and readable. Fair condition.

A clean fresh copy. Publishers dark blue cloth with gilt and black lettering and full illustration to the front board. Spine lettered in gilt. Rear board with blind stamped double rule border and publishers device to the centre. Brown coated endpapers. Inner front hinge cracked but still firm. Overall a near fine copy. --- A scarce and unusual book of Satyrical political verses with all the characters being pigs and set in Ham(p)shire. Copac lists just five physical copies of this first edition.
