Inf., serving in Aceh during the war, period 1873-1890. A very inferesting piece of late nineteenth century military ephemera. Still in acceptable condition. 9piece has been folded, tears on folds skilfully restoredsmall piece of illustration at tail gone).

Orignal triple folded small oblong folio (430x330mm]. 11 lines of text lithographed in centre, signed in ink "Van den Bosch", Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies by command of the King of the Netherlands [actually Wilhelmina, Queen of the Netherlands]. Text within eleborate monochrome illustrated lithographed pictorial bvorders with images of Gun-batteries, traditional indonesian weapons, flags some enivronmental views from Lombok, crowned by a large chromolithographed Royal Dutch National Coat-of-Arms with the said Cross beneath flanked by some traditional indonesian environmental views, at top of margin. Lithographed, drawn and designed by Newerbach Riffarth. Official entirely lithographed dutch language Charter, with chromolithographed Royal Dutch State Coat-of-Arms at top margin, presented to a Dutch army fuselier from frisian ancestry, who won a military service medal for gallantry during the so-called Lombo expedition 26 June-december 24, 1894. Actually awarded by Royal Dutch Decree March 17, 1896. Very well preserved copy. Rare. (some tears on folds skilfully restored, , some minimal foxing to left margin, small piece of top margin gone, NOT touching text/illustration at all).
