159 pages. With a lot of illustrations, some in colour. Green original cloth. (A little used). 29x23 cm * Vosdanig Manoug Adoian (* 15. April 1904 in Khorkom, Osmanisches Reich - 21. Juli 1948 in Sherman, Connecticut, USA), besser bekannt unter dem Pseudonym Arshile Gorky, war ein aus dem heute zur Türkei gehörenden Westarmenien stammender Zeichner und Maler, der 1939 die amerikanische Staatsangehörigkeit annahm. Er war, obwohl er selbst sich der Gruppe der Surrealisten nicht zugehörig fühlte, der letzte in diese Gruppe aufgenommene Künstler. Sein Werk war wegbereitend für den Abstrakten Expressionismus.
