Original o primera edición
FIRST EDITION (1911) published for the coronation of George V in that year, miniature book approximately 84 x 65 mm, 3¼ x 2¾ inches (cover size including yapp edges), bound in the original publisher's green paper wraps, blue and brown floral decoration and title to upper cover and spine, decorative frontispiece with portrait of George V and Queen Mary, similar border to title page, no pagination: 6 prelim pages with music and words of God Save the King on 2 pages, followed by 122 pages in pairs: on the lefthand page a vignette with a quotation below, a decorative motif to the top of the facing page with a blank space for autographs, at the end are 3 pages each with a vignette but no space to write. Book leaning slightly, no inscriptions, several people have signed the first blank, 1 slightly messy entry on a lefthand page, another quite tidy, otherwise clean and bright. A very good plus copy. The illustrations are mostly of persons both official and unofficial at the coronation plus some heraldic animals and some typical Charles Robinson babies. The artist had already illustrated an autograph book issued by the publishers for the coronation of Edward VII in 1902 (The Coronation Autograph Book). MORE IMAGES ATTACHED TO THIS LISTING, ALL ZOOMABLE, FURTHER IMAGES ON REQUEST. POSTAGE AT COST.
