Revised Final script for the 1973 film. Laid in are two full-color studio stills from the film. Director Paul Bogart's sequel to Robert Mulligan's 1971 film, "Summer of '42." Hermie (Grimes), Oscy (Houser), and Benjie (Conant) graduate from high school in the waning months of World War II, and go separate ways. Benjie joins the Marines, while Hermie and Oscy take on the daunting task of entering college. Hermie falls for beautiful college freshman Julie (Winters), and a fraternity president (William Atherton) supervises hazing rituals. First Draft script and a Revised Estimating script for the 1968 film. The First Draft script is early, written well over two years before the film's release. The Revised Estimating script is on all yellow stock, except for distribution page (white), and pink "This Script Is Not Final and Is Given to You for Advance Information Only" page. Written a year prior the film's release, the Revised Estimating script is only 79 pages, ending with "PART II TO FOLLOW." From the estate of film producer Elliott Kastner, whose best known credits include "The Long Goodbye" (Robert Altman, 1973), "The Missouri Breaks" (Arthur Penn, 1976), and "Heat" (Michael Mann, 1996). A workaholic manufacturer meets a carefree young woman who takes lovers for a period of one month in order to help them get over their problems, though complications ensue when he agrees to be her "November." Remade in 2001, directed by Pat O'Connor, and starring Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron. Set in and shot on location in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York. First draft script: Blue titled wrappers, dated July 9, 1965.
