Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. 58 pp. Every community in Papua New Guinea has a unique traditional culture which is part of the Melanesian way of life that ancestors have been following for many years. Nonsie Tata brings into focus the tribal affairs of the colonial era, building the Mission Station, the Petrol Post at Tumbul, then building the airstrip and road network that brought in vast changes to the Stone Age society. They try to assimilate Western technology. The natives thought of white men as if their ancestors were resurrected to free the black men from tribal warfare. This engrossing tale lucidly presents an aura of tribal life and its activities. It should be of particular interest to all those interested in knowing the culture and traditions of this Melanesian country. 0.0.

Soft cover. Condición: Fine. 93 pp. Patriotism is a skillfully-woven autobiographical story of Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels, who have left the legacy of compassionate humanitarian approach of Papua New Guineans towards wounded Australian soldiers during the Second World War. It reflects the vision of the author to see Papua New Guinea as a great nation in the Pacific, the food bowl and a gateway to Australia and Asia. The various strands of this story are woven around Bougainville, and other vicissitudes of natural and man-made crises. A Fuzzy Wuzzy Angel, as if resurrected to awaken the nationals to the legacy of Melanesian culture, interacts with Maria and Susie. The Angel accompanies Susie to tribal areas, waterfalls, fast flowing rivers, and other places. Together the places form a paragon of beauty and splendour. Gold and copper mines remind the reader about the mesmerizing natural wealth of a country to be envied. Written in a simple yet delectable style, the sub-plots in the story are interspersed with romance, kaleidoscopic events and places with scenic beauty to keep the reader glued to the narrative. The story culminates in the author's vision that this is a dreamland -- beautiful and rich -- requiring proper management by leadership with perception.
