Mass-market paperback. First edition. Text in English, Norwegian. 512 p. Mass-market PB. Green page edges, 3 sides. Fiction set in small town, Norway; a talented composer is sorting out dreams from reality, love from lust. The first in a planned trilogy ("The Songs of the Red Ruby" followed), and considered sexually bold some 40 years ago. When second book was charged with obscenity, Myrle defended himself by reading entire book aloud to a packed courtroom. A court order of confiscation was issued while reviewers were acclaiming it, boosting sales. Very good. No dust jacket as issued. Concave spine w/ creasing; short angled back cover corner crease. Age-toning to paper. 1 0.0.
