Rough cut pages. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper. A few edge tears and creases, as expected with rough cut paper. Occasional minor marginalia and underlining. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Slight fraying to front. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall. Book has a moderate forward lean.

The text block is tightly bound, straight and not tanned - very good condition - and with 'decorations' bu John Austen. No dedications etc. In quite good dust jacket with red titles and man sitting under a tree reading a book to front. The jacket is tanned on edges and on spine; slight wear to edges. Not price clipped.
