Condición: Fair. 152 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with lettering. Heavy tanning and foxing to pages and text block edges. Cracks to guttering throughout, with exposed netting. Heavy foxing and marking to pastedowns and endpapers with inscriptions to front. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Light bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Boards are slightly bowed and tanned.

Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Original Cloth. Condición: Good. Lumley, Savile Ilustrador. First Edition. Green boards with brown lettering and decorations to the spine and brown text boxes for title and author's name on the front panel. Damp staining to the bottom right corner of the rear panel and across the bottom of the spine. The rear panel also has six small dark stains and a few other light marks in places. Some denting, rubbing and discolouration to the top and bottom edges of the boards. Light marking to page edges. Prize label from Bigton Public School in Shetland to the front free endpaper - the recipient was my mother. The pages have a few light marks but are generally clean and unmarked. Colour frontispiece by Savile Lumley. Believed to be a first printing but no publication date is given. No jacket.
