A collection of 21 poems written by Janta while interred at a German Prison camp, 1940-42. 52 pgs., bound in a light taupe cloth, 8"X 10", with bronze spine lettering. Pale end papers, the front free end paper has a discrete previous owner name and address lightly penciled in. Some wear at the extremities, esp. the head and foot of the spine., From the signature page following the psalms: "Five hundred numbered copies of this book designed by Suzette Hamill each bearing the author's signature have been printed by Profile Press, New York, December, 1947." The English version was prepared by Gladys Anthony White in collaboration with the author. The first Polish Edition was published in 1943, in German occupied France. This #2/500. C6.
