Volume is otherwise very clean and intact. Dust jacket shows tears along edges with some paper loss over the head of the spine. Jacket is now in a clear Brodart protective sleeve.

The pocket in the rear contains 6 maps and 1 booklet including the following items. (1) a topographical Map of Fort Leavenworth and Vicinity; (2) a map of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, dated 1937; (3) Location of Camps by the Missouri-Kansas District Civilian Conservation Corps; (4) A 1937 Road Map of Ft. Leavenworth and Vicinity; (5) A Map of the Western United States; (6) A Plat Map of U. S. Reservation at Fort Leavenworth for Military Purposes; and an (extra) little booklet entitled The Post Chapel including Fort Leavenworth, Kansas dated 1879 - 1940. The former owner of this book wrote his name across the front of this pamphlet. He also signed his name on the front endpaper of the book itself. The name appears to be captain Alton Arnold, dated december 1941 to february 1942. Also accompanying this book appear to be personal photos taken at Fort Leavenworth of which there are approximately 20. Some with vehicles, some with buildings taken during the winter time.
