The stories appeared in the monthly magazine Household, published by Capper Publications, and were also gathered and published as a series of books. Many of the stories were illustrated by Dorothy Wagstaff, who studied at Washburn College in Topeka, Kansas and taught at the Topeka School of Art in 1938." (from University of Kansas).

Hardback. No Dustjacket. Bound in red pictorial boards. Hard to grade this as there are a lot of good points and some bad ones. On the good side, the paper outer covers are bright and attractive with very minimal wear, as are the interior pages after the endpapers. The problem points are the spine which has had some water damage which has faded it somewhat, although the spine lettering is perfectly legible. When you go to the interior hinges, there are slight mildew stains on the edges. There is also a slight musty odor to the book. Once past those about Good condition faults, this is a very bright attractive book which would have graded near fine otherwise.
