He was not looked upon as a solitary genius spinning theories out of his inner consciousness. Rather, it was his function to express with clarity the ideas of the group. It is the author's hope that he encompasses that same mindset against the backdrop of the Christian social life, to help catch some of that same spirit in today's life.
