Condición: Good. 1955. First Edition. 216 pages. This is an ex-Library book. Pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth. Ex library copy with associated labels, inserts, stamps and annotations. Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate shelf wear with mild bumping and fraying to corners and crushing and fraying to spine ends. All surfaces heavily tanned. Gilt lettering to spine is slightly dulled. Some additional marks and staining to surfaces. Clipped jacket has heavy wear with tears, chipping and creasing. All surfaces heavily tanned, particularly spine.

Semi- fictionalised story of the beginning of the CitizenÕs Advice Bureau, set in Redridge, with short stories based on actual incidents and enquiries. Signed presentation from the author on the front endpaper, "with many thanks,Phillida Fletcher, 1955." Antonia Yeoman, born Beryl Botterill Thompson, best known as 'Anton' ( 1907 Ð 1970). She was an Australian born English cartoonist and illustrator. She was admired by John Betjeman, her full biography can be found in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. Very good in somewhat creased and used, minus very good dust jacket, with some chipping at edges. Front panel of jacket designed by 'Anton'. Signedes.
