Un pliego en 4to. de 8 pp. Encuadernación moderna en media tela. La llamada "Conspiración de Cellamare" fue un complot urdido por España en 1718 para retirar de la Regencia de Francia a Felipe de Orleans. Tomó tal nombre del Príncipe de Cellamare, Antonio del Giudice (1657-1733) Embajador en Francia del Rey de España Felipe V, segundo hijo de Luis, el Gran Delfín y nieto de Luis XIV, que era quien tenía que heredar la Corona de Francia, en caso de fallecimiento de Luis XV, pese a la renuncia a la misma del Rey de España en el Tratado de Utrecht. Los personajes clave del mismo fueron el Cardenal Giulio Alberoni, Primer Ministro de Felipe V, y el Abate Dubois, Secretario de Estado de Asuntos Exteriores del Regente en Francia quien contrarrestó las pretensiones de Felipe V con la formación de la Cuádruple Alianza con Inglaterra, Holanda y el Emperador, así como haciendo arrestar a los integrantes de la "Conspiración". El 9 de Enero de 1719 Francia declaraba la Guerra a España. Inglaterra ya lo había hecho el 27 de Diciembre de 1718.
