Paperback. Condición: Very Good. First Edition Thus. from The Boston University Law Review, November, 1934; 13 pages; Clean and secure in original printed wrappers. "Compliments of the Author" in ink at top of front wrapper. OCLC: 62420104 Farnum admired Pound's 'robust independence and instinctive aloofness from affiliation with any well defined school of legal thought or philosophical movement -- phases of his pronounced originality of character and thought -- [that] render it impossible to arrange his views within the bounds of any neat and instructive cheme of classification." Farnum, like many others, was more comfortable with the later Pound than with the great reformer and proponent of sociological jurisprudence of his earlier years.

Printed Wrappers. Condición: Good +. First Separate Edition. 32 pp. Printed wrappers. Inscribed by the author, former Assistant Attorney General of the United States, George R. Farnum, "To Rudolph Forster with the high regards of George R. Farnum." "Rudolph Forster was Executive Clerk and Administrative Officer in Charge of Executive Papers at the White House until his death in 1943. He had piled up nearly fifty years of service to eight Presidents. His job was to remind the President that a bill, for example, must be acted upon in a certain amount of time, or that by law he must fill a vacancy within a definite period. He was also responsible for the 'orderly handling of documents' and supervision of the large clerical staff. He was the most important permanent official at the White House. " -Off the Record With F.D.R., Rutgers University Press, 1958. "Rudolph is a man without faults." - Franklin D. Roosevelt (as cited in that book, p. 140). Inscribed by Author(s).
