Condición: Good. 315pp. Brown leather with a gilt spine title on a burgandy band, hinges are worn, leather at the board edges bumped and chipped, spine leather chipped at the head and foot. Partial loss of the first flyleaf, previous owner's names on the flyleaves. Very minor foxing, otherwise the text is very clean and readable. MC.

Hardcover. Condición: Fair. Hardcover. Brown leather over boards with gold lettering on red leather plate on spine and gold striping on spine. Title page dated 1828. 283 pages. In fair condition. Some wear to leather, particularly along edges. Boards exposed a bit through split and chipping leather at corners. Uneven discoloration to top fifth of front cover. Leather is cracked along hinges, front cover has detached almost completely, remaining connected at top cord. Back cover still connected along length of book. Spine is quite toned, though lettering is still readable and fairly vibrant. Aside from front endpaper still attached to cover, binding remains very secure. List of rules for the Library of the Theological Seminary of Virginia pasted to front attached endpaper. Pages are toned with heavy foxing throughout. Overall this copy shows its age but is in fine reading condition.

Rubbing through leather of most of the extremities. Binding is solid, with slight crack in the inner hinge in front. International and priority sales will require extra shipping due to size and weight. Book.

Original embossed brown morocco over beveled boards, gilt decoration & lettering on front cover & spine, silk moire endpapers, gilt inner dentelles, gilt decoration & ruling on spine, a.e.g. (repair to head of spine), still a VG copy. First edition of this excellent local history of Spokane County and Eastern Washington. Author includes early Washington & Oregon History, Missionaries, references to Lewis and Clark, as well as Marcus Whitman, the Spokane Indians, Indian Wars, settlement in 1880's and founding of Spokane city. The map was executed by Tom Wetzel, County Surveyor in April, 1900.
