Octavo, six issues, each issue has a woodcut frontispiece, original publisher's cloth. A six month run of this popular mid-Victorian monthly magazine, of which Mrs. Wood was the proprietor and editor from 1867-1887, patterning it after BELGRAVIA. (The complete life span of the magazine was 1865-1901.) Wood serialized much of her fiction here as well as miscellaneous fiction and nonfiction by others. These issues include chapters I-XVIII of "Called to the Rescue" a novel by Anne H. Drury (see Wolff 1935). Some cracking along gutter margins between the issues, but still a fairly sound copy. (#170472).
