Cream card covers with green illustration and cotton thread binding of a single stanza poem and a double page spread of music score (measuring 46cm x 30cm). Outer broadsheet wraps in green thin card with red lettering and orange illustration (similar in design to that decorating the inside covers). Red publisher's motif on rear inside flap. All protected in clear mylar wraps. Touch of shelf wear to top edge of the green outer wraps but otherwise in Fine condition. Signed by Author(s).

Light bumping to corners with some rubbing along spine and a pressure mark to front panel of jacket. Interior clean and unmarked. Signed and numbered on colophon in black felt tip pen by Lawrence Durrell with Wallace Southam's signature in black ball point pen. Friends since the late 1930s, Lawrence Durrell and Wallace Southam set out to put some of Durrell's work to music in the late 1960s. In addition to the unfinished musical entitled "Ulysses Come Back", Southam put two of Durrell's poems, Lesbos and In Arcadia, to music. The two pieces were published in 100 signed and numbered copies each in the "Contemporary Poetry Set to Music" series, which was published by bookseller Bernard Stone's Turret Books. In February of 1968, the two pieces were performed in a concert entitled Jupiter and Turret at the Wigmore Hall: New Jazz and Modern Poetry. Signed by Authors. Limited, Numbered. Soft Cover. Very Good.

Limited to 100 numbered copies, signed by the poet and the composer, this being no. 25. Unpaginated: [8]pp, with proof sheet, reproducing title page, illustration, poem, and colophon loosely laid in. Publisher's illustrated string-bound stiff card wrappers, title page printed in brown, poem surprinted on uncredited illustration, double-page musical score on thick paper, green illustrated dust jacket titled in red, repeating design (by Pip Benveniste) on wrappers, One corner of proof sheet lightly creased, with paperclip imprint on top edge. The eight-page publication, including wrapper and dust jacket, is As New. There were only seven titles in this series, each in a limited edition of 100, the final one published in 1970. "Nothing is lost," in its entirety, reads: "Nothing is lost, sweet self, / Nothing is ever lost. / The unspoken word / Is not exhausted but can be heard. / Music that stains / The silence remains / O echo is everywhere, the unbeckonable bird!
