Illustrated with many photogravure black and white pictures. Ilustrador. The Guide has three main divisions. In its seventeen essays is a record and an interpretation of interesting and important developments in the political, industrial, and cultural life of Ohio. Nineteen cities have been grouped in a separate section for individual treatment. These cities have been chosen because they are typical of the wide diversity of the State. Thus Oxford is the genuine Ohio college town, Chillicothe still has remnants of its Virginia heritage, Sandusky shows traces of its Germanic origin, and Cincinnati, Toledo, Cleveland, and Youngstown are the big industrial centers around the rim of Ohio. The third division comprises tours of the important highways arranged to unfold a point-by-point picture of the present aspect of the State. Ownership rubberstamp on free front and back endpapers. Small name stamped on title page. Otherwise book is in very good to fine condition. Dust jacket has two triangular chips out of the top edge at the spine folds.
