Soft cover. Condición: Good. Roy G. Krenkel Jr. Ilustrador. Good condition. Covers and spine have crease; pages are clean and unmarked, lightly tanning. Ace mass paperback, 2nd printing Jan. 1973 (stated), ISBN: 9780441901920, Ace #90192. 158 pages, cover art by Roy G. Krenkel, Jr. 12mo (4.25" x 7") Actually, Ace is sloppy in their printings with this book: the 2nd printing was # 90191 and sold for 75 cents. This is probably the 3rd printing, with no change in the printings on the copyright page; cover price 95 cents. The printing date is probably mid-1970s. This is an omnibus of the novelette The Wizard of Venus, the novel Pirate Blood, an essay by Richard A. Lupoff about The Wizard of Venus, with Edgar Rice Burroughs' original Foreward; and an essay by Donald A. Wollheim about Pirate Blood. The Wizard of Venus is the final work in the Venus (Carson Napier) series, and Pirate Blood is a stand-alone work.

Paperback: 6½" x 4¼". Condición: Good: Moderate signs of wear. Cover Art: Roy G Krenkel Jr / Illustrations: J Allen St. John Ilustrador. 1963 Edition. © 1927: 6th in the 'Barsoom' series of books. 1st printing of 1963 edition. Ace Books #F-181. Penned price (4/-) & second-hand book seller's stamps to inside front page:- Synopsis: Ulysses Paxton, U.S.A., awakened from a battlefield in France to find himself the prisoner of the strangest super-scientist of a strange planet. Paxton, it seemed, was valuable to that master mind as an apprentice because he would have no loyalties to interfere with the work he was called to do. For Ras Thavas' weird experiments involved transplanting the brains of ape and man, and of beauty and hag. But Paxton was an Earthman similar to John Carter, the Warlord of Barsoom, and Paxton realized that he had to undo the evil he had helped to create. The story of Paxton's fight to right the wrong done to a lovely woman is a Burroughs Mars novel that ranks with the best:- (original cost $0.40).

Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose Tarzan tales have enthralled millions, has written a novel of another such jungle hero that is as exciting, as adventure-packed and as imaginative as his best.
