"Few Americans have influenced international affairs as profoundly as the author. As a scholar, theorist, teacher, best-selling author, and advisor to both Democratic, and Republican presidents, he has for over thirty years been one of the nation's premiere strategists. In this work he examines how America, as the world's only remaining superpower, can best preserve its global prominence in the post-Cold War World. His primary focus is the Eurasian landmass stretching from France to Korea - an area Dr. Brzezinski calls the "grand chessboard" on which the world's powers will struggle for political and economic advantage. Essential for policy-makers and citizens concerned with America's future." - from insert. All edges gilt. Gilt-decorated brown full-leather binding. Clean, bright and unmarked with negligible wear.
