Covers worn, joints cracking, some loss to fore edge of preliminary pages through page 4, with no loss of text. Some loss to leather top rear corner. Theodor Beza, 1519-1605, was a French lawyer and theologian who came to Geneva in 1558 to teach at the Academy, became an associate and successor to John Calvin, and was an important figure in the Reformed movement during the Reformation. This work is the second edition, originally published in 1573, of a series of 84 letters to various persons regarding theological questions of the day in Europe. Book condition Good.
