Condición: very good. 1st Edition. Quarto. Pictorial boards with red cloth spine. Illustrated dust jacket matches the front board. Small chip to bottom front of the dust jacket; minor soiling to back of the dust jacket and small closed tear to bottom of the spine. Eight coloured plates and several ink drawings throughout by Ethel Betts and Harry Clarke. Not dated, but style of illustrations suggests early 1930s. Minor foxing to text block--inside contents clean and binding tight. very good A wonderful and extensive selection of fairy tales by Hans Christian and the Brothers Grimm, including the original version of the somewhat tragic the Little Sea Maid (The Little Mermaid). A scarce book, rarely seen with the dust jacket.
