Paperback. Condición: Very Good. First Edition. [Sydney, The Author, 1952]. Quarto, [24] pages (first three and last one blank) with 12 illustrations (mainly of Barnett's publications). Thread-bound overlapping crepe-textured wrappers slightly unevenly sunned; minimal foxing to the first page; an excellent copy. Inscribed and signed by Barnett on the first page (which also carries the small name-stamp of Johannes Larsen). A checklist of Barnett's publications on bookplates and Japanese prints, with reprints of articles on him (and them) by Al Milgrom, Alan Yates and Alan Rigby (the first one credited as an afterthought with a rubber stamp at the end; it first appeared in 'The Australasian Printer', April 1952). 'This Collection of Reprints has been issued for distribution among those interested in my books. August, 1952' (recto of the second-last leaf, repeated without the date on the recto of the last leaf).

Paperback. Condición: Very Good. First Edition. [Sydney, The Author, 1938]. Octavo, [28] pages with 17 (of 18) illustrations (including, tipped in, a bookplate and a Japanese colour-print, but lacking the Japanese colour-print originally tipped in on the verso of the secondary front cover). Overlapping printed blue wrappers (stapled over plain wrappers of a lighter blue colour); covers a little bumped and marked; staples rusty; minor signs of use and age; a very good copy. Inscribed, dated (1939) and signed by Barnett. Basically a catalogue of Barnett's publications, 'Limited de luxe editions designed and published by the author and printed by Harrie P. Mortlock's Beacon Press'. The mounted Japanese prints were 'two of the smaller illustrations from "Japanese Colour-Prints"'. The bookplate, by George Hartley Brown, is for Sir Charles Kingsford Smith (Peake 2974); in our experience, and from our limited enquiries, it appears likely that each copy of the catalogue contains a different bookplate. Presumably the same can be said for the Japanese colour-prints.

August, 1952' [colophon, repeated without date on recto of final leaf]. A check list of Barnett's publications, followed by three articles about Barnett and his books, reprinted from various sources: 1. The Unique Works of P. Neville Barnett, by Al. Milgrom (from The Australasian Printer, April, 1952); 2. Art in Books, by Alan Yates (from Qantas Empire 'Airways', August, 1951); 3. P. Neville Barnett. A super bookman, by Alan P. Rigby (from the Year Book 1949-1950 of the American Society of Book-plate Collectors and Designers). A later title (Japanese Art. A Phase of Colour-Prints , 1953) has been added (in typescript?) to the list of publications, and the credit attribution for the first article has been added by an ink stamp.

Paperback. Condición: Very Good. Dust Jacket Included. First Edition. Sydney, Tyrrell's Galleries, 1930. Octavo, 30 pages with 10 tipped-in bookplates. Cord-bound overlapping wrappers lightly creased; small name-stamp of Johannes Larsen on the title page; an excellent copy with the plain opaque patterned dustwrapper a little tanned, chipped and torn, with minor paper residue on the front flap where a personal bookplate has been removed. The colophon, signed by Barnett, states that the book is 'Reprinted from the 1929 Year Book of the American Society of Bookplate Collectors and Designers'. In fact, the original printing was unillustrated. In the Book Collectors' Society of Australia 2009 publication on Barnett, the bibliography by Mark Ferson lists this item as Barnett's first separate publication on the bookplate. However, Ferson does not record a separately-paginated reprint of the ASBCD article, an inscribed and signed copy of which we have handled, which presumably precedes this Tyrrell edition. Ferson notes a signed and numbered edition limited to 50 copies, as well as this unlimited edition, but does not record that there are two issues of the latter (the second one bound in quarter cloth and papered boards).
