Paperback. Condición: Very Good. None Ilustrador. First edition. A scarce biography of Robert Andrew Scott Macfie, one of Britain's leading authorities on Roma/Gypsies and their language. A scarce work, here in its first edition, with frontispiece portrait of the man in question. Robert Andrew Scott Macfie in 1907 was persuaded to revive the Gypsy Lore Society, which until that point had been defunct for fourteen years. XIV of the third series.Macfie became one of England's leading authorities on Roma/Gypsies and their language, recording vast quantities of dialect, folk-tales and songs from various bands of Roma/Gypsies in Britain. This is the work of Anglican priest and acknowledged scholar of Romany language and culture, Frederick George Ackerley. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Age-toned to back strip and head of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good. book.
