Edition unknown circa 1895 printed by Eyre & Spottiswoode Ltd (702 PAGE VERSION), miniature book approximately 53 x 45 mm, 2¼ x 1¾ inches, bound in original publisher's full brown leather, rounded corners, gilt title to spine, sterling silver hallmarked plaque attached to front cover depicting 5 angels' heads in relief surrounded by clouds (based on Joshua Reynolds), all edges gilt, brown endpapers, 702 pages including title page. Spine slightly rubbed at head and tail and on lower hinge, edges of lower cover very slightly rubbed, title page very slightly worn at top and bottom edges, a few corner tips creased, pages 81-84 reinserted and 83/84 with slight loss to upper margin, tiny pale stain to 1 page with loss of a couple of letters, all easily legible (see images), final page and facing endpaper slightly dusty. No inscriptions, a very good copy. Reprinted by Eyre & Spottiswoode circa 1903 with 630 pages. Welsh, Bibliography of Miniature Books, No.1854 (702 pages) and 1862 (630 pages); Bondy, Miniature Books, pages 131 and 167; Griffiths, Bibliography of Book of Common Prayer, page 433, lists a 702 page copy dating it circa 1905. The sections omitted from the 630 page edition listed in the title are not quite the same as in the 702 page edition: "but without the calendar, occasional services and articles of religion".
