First edition, first printing hardback in dustwrapper. Bound in the original pictorial boards.18.5 × 25cm, unpaginated. Signed by George Adamson to the front pastedown, where there is also a newspaper cutting of one of his cartoons, and dedicated by Adamson to the ffep, "To Agatha with good wishes and thanks for your expert advice on Dartmoor, Peggy and George". A wonderfully illustrated edition of the famous folk song about Tom Pearce's grey mare and her unlucky trip to Widdecombe Fair. The book is primarily a picture book, but also includes the words of the song in full, and the tune. Condition: The book itself is in very good condition, with some offsetting to the endpapers and light rubbing to the boards edges. The dustwrapper is complete but chipped a little to edge and spine ends. It has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve. N° de ref. de la librería 005284
