Book condition: very good, very scarce with dust jacket, the 6th printing which was published only three months after the first, Caspary wrote novels, plays, screenplays and short stories, her novel Laura was made into a movie, this novel explores the life of a woman who by all appearances is white "but in her veins was Negro blood." the dust jacket features a red, black and white illustration and shows small chips off all corners, a bit larger off spine head and tail, light soiling to front, more so to back, backed with archival paper, mylar cover, black cloth boards show white spots to back outside corner with a few more to center and top edge, interior very clean, binding tight, 305 pages, 5.25 X 7.75 inches.
