Excerpt from What Is Your Hope?: A Question for 1857
You see a question at the head of this page. In asking it I make no secret of my meaning. I want you to consider, what is your h0pe about your soul?
Another year in our short lives is drawing to a close. The sand is running quickly out of the glass. We are drifting on toward death, judgment, and eternity. A few more winters and we shall be gone. Surely you will not wonder if I cry aloud, as a spiritual watchman, and say, what' is your h0pe about your soul?
