John Szarkowski (MoMA) on the photography of Helen Levitt "What is remarkable about these photographs is that the immemorially routine acts of life.are revealed as being full of grace, drama, humor, pathos, and surprise, and also that they are filled with the qualities of art, as though the street were a stage, and its people were all actors and actresses, mimes, orators, and dancers." Contains 68 black and white plates, beautifully printed by Meriden Gravure Company (halftone photography by Richard Benson). Design by Marvin Hoshino. In this edition Agee's essay precedes the photographs in its entirety. A very nice copy of a wonderful book. Inquiries welcomed. N° de ref. del artículo 2011044
