Book condition: Heavy fishmoth damage to the boards. Head and heel of the spine are bumped. Stain to top corner of text block running through to page v. Otherwise tightly bound and in good condition. Jacket condition: Price clipped. 0.5" loss to the head of the spine. 1" loss to the heel. Some open and closed tears around the edges. Spine is slightly faded. Part 1: Birth and Transfiguration. Part 11: The Historical Factors. Part 111: The Mechanical Product. Motorcars are listed starting with a 1895 4-h.p. Lutzmann, up to 1914, with a 'Prince Henry' Vauxhall. Specifications and full details of the cars and their history, plus a photograph. Light foxing on the first and last few pages and a couple of pages inside, otherwise internally very clean and sound. The binding has surface and edge wear. The spine is worn and the gilt dulled.
