This is a 1936 catalog for the Utica Conservatory of Music, including course and certificate descriptions, lists of faculty, and whom they had studied with, and lists of patrons. Generations of Uticans, both children and adults, studied at this conservatory. Founded in 1889 by Louis Lombard, the Utica Conservatory of Music at 3 Hopper Street, Utica, New York, provided professional and comprehensive instruction in piano, violin, voice, harp, string instruments, and theory including ear training, sight-singing, harmony, and music history. Elocution was also taught. The school had a distinguished faculty, and, from 1936 to 1937, tuition was stunningly low (ranging from $1 to $2 per session!) Paper-covered booklet folded and stapled. 16 pages (unpaginated). Condition: Covers are lightly toned, creased, and mildly rumpled. Upper right corner is bumped (which runs through text block) and lightly dog-eared. Rear cover has a long diagonal crease, which also runs through several pages). Else, clean, bright and unmarked.
