Paper-over-boards. Very Good. First Revised Edition, First Canadian. Fiction. 12mo. Author's 1st book, with a new introduction by Margerie Lowry (the 2nd Mrs. Lowry). Blue paper over boards, gilt spine title, blue pictorial d. j., author portr. on rear panel. 203 pp. Horizontal hairline crease along t. e. of fr. d. j. panel, tiny bit of flecking at extrems. & 1 or 2 teeny flecks to rear panel, else a fine, bright copy. "A new and revised edition first published in Canada in 1963" (copyright page). Lowry was well-known for revising & rewriting his books (this is perhaps why, of the 5 novels he wrote, only two were published during his lifetime). A scarce Lowry item, much less common than the 1962 1st American edition (an unrevised reissue of the 1933 U. K. edition). Essential Lowry titile. His first book, revised on his deathbed in 1957, published here for the 1st time. N° de ref. de la librería 000362
